Joe Biden cracks jokes about age at 81st birthday celebration: ‘I just want you to know, it’s difficult turning 60’

 

President Joe Biden praised his 81st birthday on Monday by kidding over and over about his old age, even as the White House unequivocally guarded his endurance and batted away surveying — and one unmistakable liberal — recommending that the issue could cost him votes in the following year's political decision.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president's age ought not be an essential concentration.

"I simply believe that you should be aware, it's troublesome turning 60," the president added with a laugh. "Troublesome."

Noticing that the pre-Thanksgiving exculpating function dated back 76 years, Biden likewise said, "I believe you should realize I wasn't there — for the first."
